A great group of children joined us for Friendship Trek, an amazing hike through the Bible to meet Jesus, our Forever Friend.  Kids found fun, faith and friends at Friendship Trek.  They experienced Jesus' friendship, enjoy meeting old and new friends, and learn to care for one another.

Kids explored five friend-filled Bible stories about Jesus. They ran to follow Jesus as He reached out to a new friend named Matthew. They went along as a centurion's friends asked Jesus to heal the man's servant - and He did! They traipsed to the temple as Jesus heals a blind friend, then go to Bethany to see Jesus raise his friend Lazarus from the dead. Finally, they witnessed the ultimate love Jesus showed by giving His life for His friends.

Each day began at the Trailhead for opening worship. Then kids hiked their own Friendship Trek to six rotation sites where they unpacked the Bible story and explored the friendship Jesus offers. Before going home, kids accepted a daily Good Friend Challenge that puts what they've learned to work in their lives.

Friends are great gifts from God, and Jesus is the greatest friend of all!

Each morning at 9:15, hikers gathered at the Trailhead (Sanctuary) for our opening assembly. With the leadership of our Trail Guides, groups of hikers rotated through six sites each day. Hikers were picked up from the Trailhead at the end of the day's hike at noon.
